Mission

City Pitties is a pending 501(c)4 New York City and South Florida resource group for abandoned and abused “bully breed” dogs, working in collaboration with law enforcement agencies, animal welfare organizations and rescue groups.  Through full community involvement and education in public schools, we (1) advocate for humane treatment of these dogs, (2) encourage responsible pet ownership, and (3) oppose and fight (a) Breed Specific Legislation (“BSL”), (b) breed discriminating homeowners insurance policies and residential rental property leases, and (c) government imposed breed bans on families residing on United States military installations and on tax-paying civilians.
